Sentiments of a City, no. 4.

Every Chinese New Year, I honour my heritage by celebrating our most cherished annual event - a time when a new zodiac sign takes centre stage and bestows upon its year a promise of transformation. It's believed that those experiencing their zodiac’s year don’t merely enjoy a festive season. Instead, they embark on a period of significant decisions and life-changing events. Whether these events shift family, love, or career, this unique time invites us to reflect on our journeys without becoming tethered to the past.

Chinese New Year is celebrated not only in China but across the globe. The festival spans 15 days and culminates with the enchanting Lantern Festival. From the red decorations symbolizing good luck to the rhythmic beats of lion dances, every detail plays a role in dispelling negativity and welcoming prosperity. The 12-year cycle of the Chinese Zodiac assigns each year its own distinct personality. It encourages one to see each chapter as a new opportunity for growth and renewal.
