I’m Hazel, a film photographer and collector dabbling in both 35mm and medium film formats. My website is both a personal and professional portfolio of my passion for film photography and my other artistic hobbies.

Film photography is a tool I use to capture permanent nostalgia within a global cloud of interconnected digital media eaters. I primarily shoot ordinary things in my daily life that spark joy in the simple things. My goal is document the unique journey that is mine through film. I seek to live more in the moment and find fulfilment and enjoyment in the little pleasures with the help of a camera.

I am also a 2D animator and digital artist. I am drawn to themes around the human relationship with time, memory and nostalgia. Recently, I completed my first 2D-animated short film called Sun Symphony in June 2024. I am particularly interested in cinematography and incorporate perspectives and camera angles inspired from film cinematography that exaggerates and amplifies emotions in my 2D work. Elsewhere, I have also undertaken projects that incorporate 2D animation in augmented reality.

I am currently undertaking my masters degree in Animation, Games and Interactivity at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia.
